Agriculture distributes 1.8 million in aid to 1,194 jointly-owned farms

The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (MAPA) has granted aid worth 1.79 million euros to 1,194 jointly-owned agricultural holdings, which will receive the maximum amount for 2025 of 1,500 euros per entity before the end of the year. This was stated in a statement by the ministry, which has published the final resolution of these aids on its electronic headquarters. This support aims to help cover the Social Security contributions of the owners of jointly-owned agricultural holdings, to promote the participation of women in agricultural activity and to guarantee equal rights and obligations within family farms, according to MAPA. Since the launch of this line of subsidies in 2021, the number of applications and beneficiary entities has shown continuous growth, rising from 729 beneficiary entities to the current 1,194.
