The marketing centers in Almeria are experiencing a surge in Christmas orders, leading to significant price increases in various products. California-type peppers, usually moderately priced, have seen prices rise above one euro per kilo. Other vegetables such as lamuyo peppers, Italian peppers, tomatoes, zucchini, aubergines, and green beans are also experiencing price hikes due to decreased cultivation areas and high demand. Efforts are being made to adjust irrigation based on crop states, and the sector in Andalusia is awaiting the implementation of a law to promote organic production to boost the sector's growth. Additionally, almost 380 hectometers cubed of water has been added to the dammed water in Andalusia due to recent precipitations.
