The Hilton Quota 2022/23 closed with 100% compliance, selling 29,500 tons and generating US$ 310 million in foreign exchange income, the highest compliance in the last five years. Almost all the exports, 29,500 tons, were shipped to European markets, primarily Germany and the Netherlands, with the average value of high-quality boneless cuts ranging from US$10,000 to US$13,500. Despite maintaining dispatch volumes, the quota's revenue did not recover from the international beef trade's price fluctuations, with the previous period's billing reaching US$ 347 million. Argentina markets 44% of the EU's global quota, with the United States and Canada, Brazil, Australia, Uruguay, New Zealand, and Paraguay also benefiting from the quota.
