In 2022, the autumn sowing in Bosnia’s Federation saw a 2.7% increase in wheat cultivation area, reaching a total of 17,216 hectares. However, there was a decrease in the cultivation of barley and rye by 10.6% and 6.7% respectively, with the total area for barley and rye being 4,090 hectares and 1,523 hectares respectively. The Federation is half of Bosnia and Herzegovina, with the other half being the Serb Republic.
