Côte d’Ivoire: FIRCA calls for accelerating the processing of cashews domestically

The Agricultural Research and Consultancy Inter-industry Fund (FIRCA) reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the sustainable development of the cocoa sector in Côte d’Ivoire, particularly through controlling price fluctuations and accelerating domestic processing. This information was shared by Mr. Nonkpin Eman, an agricultural engineer in charge of FIRCA’s cocoa programs. Speaking in an interview with AIP on January 20, 2026, on the sidelines of the opening ceremony of the 6th Session of the National Cocoa Exporters' Day of Côte d’Ivoire (JNEC-CI), Mr. Nonkpin emphasized that this year’s event is of particular significance for the cocoa sector.
