The national agricultural health service in Argentina, Senasa, has extended the registration deadline for fruit producers in Río Negro and Neuquén provinces to September 10 for the National Sanitary Registry of Agricultural Producers (Renspa) and fresh fruit export programs. This extension is in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, allowing producers to register online without needing to visit Senasa offices. Producers must ensure they have the necessary documents and will be subject to a documentary verification at their establishments. Changes in establishment ownership or operating contracts require specific scanned documentation to be emailed to Senasa. Senasa is reminding producers of the current export programs for fresh pome and stone fruits to countries like Brazil, China, Mexico, Israel, and Canada.
