The Peruvian Amazon Research Institute (IIAP) began its technology transfer activities in the Ucayali region with the first course of the year titled "Management and cultivation of Amazonian fish and animal welfare." The training session took place in the hamlet of Abejaico, Campo Verde district, Coronel Portillo province, where 22 local producers, including eight women and 14 men, strengthened their technical skills. The main focus of the course was to improve the yield of species with high commercial value, under principles of responsible and sustainable production. During the workshop, held on February 6, participants received practical on-site instruction on the efficient management of Amazonian species, integrating animal welfare criteria.
