It is worth noting that in 2021/22 MY, according to USDA estimates, Turkey may increase wheat imports up to 10 million tons, which is 24% more than in the previous season. At the same time, there is a diversification of grain purchases against the background of floating export duties in the Russian Federation, which is a key supplier of wheat to Turkey. So, in July-September 2021/22 MY, the volume of supplies of Russian wheat to Turkey exceeded 2.7 million tons, which is 20% more than in the same period of the previous season (2.3 million tons).
