In the first quarter of 2022, Turkish dried fruits were supplied to 129 countries

Exports of dried fruits from Turkey in January-March 2022 increased by 16% compared to the same period last year - up to $403.25 million. Such data is provided by the Anadolu Agency with reference to the Southeast Anatolia Exporters Association (GAİB). In the first quarter of the year, products hit the shelves in 129 countries and free trade zones. Seedless raisins accounted for most of the sector's export basket, worth almost $98.94 million.
This is followed by dried apricots ($91.63 million), pistachios ($60.79 million) and dried figs ($59.75 million). It is noteworthy that the export of pistachios increased by 66% compared to the same period last year. The amount of export of these products amounted to $199.29 million. The Southeast Anatolia Exporters Association came in second with $90.46 million. In January-March, the EU countries became the main exporters of dried fruits from Turkey. Dried fruits worth $163.78 million were shipped to the European market. The leader among these countries is Germany. The amount of exports of dried fruits from Turkey to Germany in the first quarter of the year amounted to $56.9 million.
