Civic groups from Korea, China, and Japan have agreed to address the declining squid resources and will promote exchanges between squid fishing groups in 2025. At the 16th Korea-China-Japan Private Fisheries Council on Yeongjong Island, Incheon, they discussed safe fishing operations, maintaining order, and managing marine resources. Representatives from each country's fisheries associations attended, with a focus on safe fishing practices and preventing illegal fishing. A seminar on climate change's impact on Northeast Asian fisheries was also held, and the Korea Fisheries Association promoted the upcoming 'Korea Seafood Show' in Seoul.
