A delegation from Botswana, which included the Minister of Trade, visited the Hoengseong Korean Beef facility in Hoengseong, Gangwon-do, during the Korea-Africa Summit. The delegation toured Hwanggogae Farm, the first Korean beef animal welfare livestock farm in the province, and the Hoengseong Livestock Cooperative Meat Factory. They plan to implement the best practices learned from Hoengseong in the development of their own livestock industry. Botswana, known for its mineral resources and livestock farming, has become one of the wealthiest countries in Africa since gaining independence from Britain in 1966.
