Land allocations have begun at the Yakakent Aquaculture Special Organized Industrial Zone.

Under the coordination of the Samsun Governorship, the land allocation process began in February at the Samsun Yakakent Fisheries Processing Specialized Organized Industrial Zone (OSB), which holds the distinction of being the first specialized organized industrial zone in Turkey focused on fish product processing. Within the scope of the February 2026 announcements published by the Ministry of Industry and Technology, an allocation announcement was made for 100 thousand square meters of area in the Yakakent Fisheries Processing Specialized OSB. The land allocation fee was reported to be set at 5 thousand TL per square meter.
