The Cassava Transformation Project (CASTRAP), a component of the West Africa Competitiveness Programme (WACOMP) funded by the European Union, was officially launched by a consortium led by CERATH Development Organization in Monrovia, Liberia, on October 28, 2021. The project, aimed at improving the sustainability and business climate through selected value chains, will focus on the cassava sector in Liberia's South East region. The €5,624,740 project will be implemented by CERATH in collaboration with the Rural Integrated Centre for Community Empowerment, Conservation Alliance Liberia, and the Center for Enterprise Learning, and will concentrate on sustained production, value addition, entrepreneurship, and sustainable markets.
