Chile's Minister of Agriculture, Esteban Valenzuela, and the national director of INDAP, Santiago Rojas, have unveiled a $7,582 million investment to boost sustainable production of traditional crops like cereals, legumes, and potatoes. The initiative, funded through INDAP, will aid 1,605 producers in the Valparaíso and La Araucanía regions. The investment is split into four areas: technical advice, inputs, services, and project financing, with the goal of enhancing production, encouraging sustainable practices, and facilitating better market conditions.
