At the VI Fruit Day, Moldova's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry, Vladimir Bolea, engaged with fruit producers to discuss economic and agricultural development. Key discussions focused on the necessity for profitable, long-term financing for modern technologies and improved water management through irrigation. Bolea noted a slight increase in fruit export prices in 2023, with Moldova exporting to 95 countries, including new markets in the EU, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE. The main exported fruits were cherries, plums, apricots, strawberries, apples, peaches, and raspberries.
