Pakistanis like to drink black tea, but Vietnam mainly sells green tea

According to statistics from the General Department of Customs, tea exports in May 2022 reached 9,500 tons, worth $16.9 million, down 5.8% in volume, but up 2.7% in value compared to May 2021. The average export price of tea in May 2022 reached $1,775.1 per ton, up 9% compared to May 2021. In the first 5 months of 2022, tea exports reached 41,400 tons, worth 69.9 million USD, down 12% in volume and 7.2% in value over the same period in 2021.

The average export price of tea in May 2022 reached $1,775.1 per ton, up 9% compared to May 2021. Accumulated in the first 5 months of 2022, tea exports reached 41,400 tons, worth US$69.9 million, down 12% in volume and 7.2% in value over the same period in 2021. The average export price of tea. reached 1,689.0 USD/ton, up 5.4% over the same period in 2021. In the first 5 months of 2022, tea exports to the Pakistani market increased in both volume and value, reaching 14,400 tons, worth 27, 5 million USD, up 9% in volume and 8.3% in value over the same period in 2021. Exports to Pakistan market account for the largest proportion in the structure of Vietnam's tea export market.
