Argentina: Pears and apples are added to the list of agricultural products with reference prices to avoid under-invoicing

The General Customs Directorate (DGA) determined a reference value for five varieties of apples and another five of pears, through general resolution 4974/2021 published in the Official Gazette. In this way, the agency expanded to that regional economy, with a strong presence in the Upper Rio Valley and Neuquén, the strategy of setting reference values for export products, in order to avoid possible under-invoicing maneuvers. The published regulations set for the exports of these two fruits values between 0.55 and 0.88 dollars, according to each variety. In the case of foreign sales of pears and apples, these values apply to when they are sent to Belgium, Denmark, Spain, France, Greece, Ireland, Iceland, Italy, Malta, Norway, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, United Kingdom , Sweden, Germany, Russia, United States, Canada, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Chile, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay and Venezuela.
