The work carried out by the Military Fire Brigade of Rondônia was fundamental for the recognition of the state, which achieved first place in the ranking of reduction of fire outbreaks, according to a survey released by the National Institute for Space Research (Inpe). The prevention and combat activities took place from June to the end of November. The state government mobilized more than 250 military personnel in the field and invested in education and training, with the formation of 954 firefighters. In addition, 230 indigenous people received environmental education classes, so that the guidelines could be disseminated in the villages, which is strategic, given that the main biome of the state is the Amazon.
