Sanipes reinforces the sanitary control of hydrobiological products imported from Ecuador at the Tumbes border

The National Authority for Health and Safety in Fisheries and Aquaculture (Sanipes) strengthened inspection, surveillance, and sanitary control actions on fresh chilled hydrobiological products imported from Ecuador, within the framework of a working meeting with the Association of Hydrobiological Products Traders “Los Fronterizos del Norte”, held at the Binational Attention Center at the Tumbes Border (CEBAF–Tumbes). Among the main measures adopted, the expansion of transport boxes was coordinated to allow greater use of ice, with the aim of improving the preservation and conditioning of the products at the customs control point. These conditions will be verified by Sanipes to ensure compliance with the cold chain and safety standards.
