Farmers in the Kyiv region are successfully completing the sowing of winter crops for the 2023 harvest, with 156.5 thousand hectares already sown, surpassing the forecast by 119%. The sowing included 145,200 hectares of wheat, 6,330,000 hectares of barley, 4,920,000 hectares of rye, and 55,500 hectares of rapeseed, with each crop surpassing its individual forecast by varying degrees. Leading the progress in sowing are the regions of Bilotserkiv, Boryspil, Obukhiv, and Fastiv. This achievement reflects the region's dedication to a productive agricultural season, despite the potential challenges of fungal diseases that can affect winter grain crops.
