Pests are attracted to the lure and die after coming into contact with the insecticide-coated device. Vijay Pai, Director of Business Development at Suterra, stated that the design allows growers to significantly reduce pest populations while decreasing the amount of insecticide used by targeting the pests rather than the crops.
