A recent study by the Rosario Stock Exchange (BCR) reveals that beef consumption in Argentina has reached its lowest level in over a century, with each person consuming only 47.8 kg of beef per year in the past year. This is a significant decrease from the 64.9 kg consumed in the year 2000. The economic decline in Argentina has been a major factor in this reduction. Consequently, other meats like chicken and pork have become more popular, with chicken going from 27% to 41% of the meat proteins consumed and pork going from 8% to 15%.
