The Russian Ministry of Agriculture has reported no complaints from agro-industrial management regarding issues at mushroom growing enterprises, despite financial troubles at the National Mushroom Company (NGK) Kashira. The ministry expects mushroom production in Russia to remain stable in 2024, with a 13.3% increase in 2023 reaching a record 146 thousand tons. The sector, supported by government measures such as investment loans, includes over 80 manufacturers primarily producing champignons and oyster mushrooms.
