The total exported during 2020 has been 448,940 tons for 1,711 million dollars. The top ten destinations concentrated 81.4% in export volume (365 thousand tons) and 90% in value, reporting revenues of 1,392 million dollars. The first place was occupied by China with 345 thousand tons, which represent 20% of the total exported, followed by Spain, which took 19.6%; and behind was the United States with 8.8% of the total. Below, in order of importance, are Italy, Japan, Brazil, Russia, South Korea, Thailand, Peru, Vietnam, France, Cameroon, Taiwan, Indonesia, Norway and Ukraine. In the analysis carried out by CAPECA on the evolution of exports of the main species during 2020, strong falls are observed. Hake frozen on board fell in export volume by 4.1% compared to 2019 and the sale of fillets fell 12%.
