The US government is set to support Ukrainian farmers in 10 regions through the AGRI-Ukraine initiative and USAID AGRO Program, in partnership with the Ministry of Agrarian Policy. This support includes the provision of free Dekalb brand corn seeds from Bayer for the 2024 spring sowing, with a total of 15,756 sowing units being distributed. Eligible farms, particularly those in frontline and affected areas, can receive up to 25 units each for sowing on 25 hectares. The regions targeted for this aid are Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Kyiv, Luhansk, Mykolaiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Kherson, and Chernihiv. Interested farmers must register in the State Agrarian Register by April 21, 2024, for the distribution planned at the end of April 2024.
