The Greater Accra Poultry Farmers Association (GAFA) is warning of a total shutdown in Ghana's poultry industry due to a cereal shortage, including maize, soya, and wheat. This shortage is causing production challenges and increasing the cost of poultry feed. GAFA is urgently calling on the government to intervene and are willing to sign Memorandum of Understandings (MoUs) with cereal suppliers and feed millers to keep their businesses operational.
