(Imsil=Yonhap News) Reporter Kim Dong-cheol = Jeonbuk Imsil County announced on the 4th that it will purchase 2,291 tons of public reserve rice by the 20th.
The purchased varieties are Shindongjin, Saecheonmu, and Baromi 2.
The purchase will be conducted sequentially in 19 locations across 12 towns and townships in the county, starting from Imsil Town, considering the convenience of farmers.
A middle settlement payment of 40,000 won per 40 kg will be made immediately after the purchase, and the final settlement payment, reflecting the national average rice price from October to December during the harvest season, is scheduled to be made in December.
The county urged, "If a variety other than the public reserve rice purchase variety is shipped, it may be excluded from the public reserve rice purchase target for the next five years, so please comply with the variety confirmation and safety accident prevention guidelines." sollenso@yna.co.kr
