218 new outbreaks of African swine fever reported in the last 2 weeks

218 new outbreaks of African swine fever were recorded worldwide between 30th October and 12th November 2020. The total number of ongoing cases rose to 7,726. The maximum number of cases were recorded in Romania (4,061) followed by Vietnam (1,475). Among the new outbreaks, 123 were reported in Europe, 6 in Asia and 2 in Africa. During these two weeks, there were losses of 6,473 animals in Romania, 1,332 in Ukraine, 1,170 in Laos and 313 in South Africa.
