EU pork meat and beef production remains stable in March amid Covid-19

Despite the Covid-19 outbreak in Europe, the EU countries perform well during March 2020 with an increase of 3.3% in pork meat production compared to the same period last year. As for beef production, there has been a slight decrease of 0.4% in the same period.
Spain has demonstrated an increase of 12.7%, Netherlands 6.1%, Germany 3.9%, France 1.4%, and Poland 1.3% increase in pork meat production in March compared to last year.
On the other hand, the decrease in beef production is mainly due to the decrease in Italy's production output by 41.5%, also decrease in Poland by 10.7%, and a decrease in Germany by 6.5%.
