Following the reopening of the tea manufacturing activities in Cirebon regency in West Java province, Indonesia since early July 2020, the tea exporters in this region are ready to export their black tea and green tea product to the frequent market destinations such as Malaysia and Taiwan. There are around 25 MT of tea has been placed in order this month, with another batch with the same volume is expected to be exported in August and September respectively. Previously the tea exporters in this region were not able to accommodate the order of black and green tea from the aforementioned importing countries as the production capacity is limited due to the social distancing instruction that limited the production capability.
