Italy, leader in agricultural sector within the EU

In the last ten years, Italy has managed to acquire a position of leadership in the agricultural sector within the European community. According to Eurostat data of 2019, the added value of Italian agriculture has been estimated at 32.2 billion euros, more than France and Spain. The best productions are related to the vegetables that are part of the Mediterranean diet like artichokes and fennels.
