Bulgarian honey producers looking for direct foreign markets

Bulgaria produces between 10-12 KMT of honey annually.
Exports are around 10 KMT/year and around 10 MT are the imports.
The reason for the majority of the honey to be exported from Bulgaria is the prices beekeepers and honey producers are offered domestically.
Local honey producers were selling the honey wholesale at 3,30 €/kg back in 2017 while the prices offered by local buyers in 2020 are slightly over 2,00 €/kg. Due to the low buying prices, Bulgarias honey producers are looking for business connections in foreign markets to sell their products at a higher value.
