Dairy labelling in Russia will become mandatory in 2021

During the year 2021 dairy labeling will become mandatory in Russia for all categories: from June 1, 2021, mandatory for the categories "ice cream" and "cheese", from September 1, 2021, mandatory for products of all other subgroups with a shelf life of more than 40 days, from December 1, 2021, for dairy products with a shelf life of less 40 days.
The marking system provides for the need to apply a marking code to each product unit, converted into an identification tool. This code helps track the path of the goods from the factory to the buyer. All information about the product is encrypted in the code: where, when, and by whom it was produced, composition, and shelf life.
