Due to rains over the past weeks in Brazil, inactive invasive plant seeds quickly germinated and infested some mango orchards in W46. Producers are using mechanical control, based on the concept of integrated pest management, without the use of herbicides. Invasive plants can be hosts for pests and diseases that can infest the fruit. They also compete for water, light, and nutrients with the plant of economic objective, in this case, the mango tree.
