Improving the quality and production of white potato in the region of Lima - Peru

The Regional Government of Lima - Peru, through the Regional Agrarian Directorate of Lima (DRA Lima), has been developing the program Improving the production of white potatoes in the province of Barranca, to industrialize and commercialize it to restaurant chains and supermarkets in the region of Lima

The objective of the project is to improve the production quality of white potato processing, using certified seed and good agronomic practices in compliance with DL 1062 Food Safety Law and to satisfy the needs of the restaurant and markets.

They also look to produce white potatoes with permissible limits of residues of fertilizers, pesticides and pesticides, in order to guarantee their innocuousness, in protection of human health; evaluate the technical and economic feasibility on the production of certified seed of potato.
