During W37, Egypt signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with China to allow Egyptian mangoes access to the Chinese market. The Chinese Deputy Minister of Customs and the Egyptian Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation signed the MoU. The Egyptian agricultural sector has experienced an outstanding boom in the past nine years, with many countries worldwide ordering Egyptian mangoes due to their high quality. The MoU is part of a three-year agricultural cooperation plan between Egypt and China, and the signed MoU aims to develop drought and salt-tolerant crops.
