Only in the month of last October agricultural exports totaled FOB US $ 928 million, which meant a growth of 25% versus the US $ 740 million registered during the same period 2019.

The growth was mainly due to higher growth in exports of blueberries, coffee, ginger and fresh grapes.

Traditional agricultural exports reached US $ 116 million (+ 17% value compared to that registered in the same month of 2019). Within this group of products, unroasted coffee exports (US $ 114 million) stand out, with a growth of 19%. Unroasted coffee represented 96% of traditional agro-exports.

Meanwhile, non-traditional agricultural exports totaled US $ 811 million that same month, (+ 27% value compared to the same period 2019). The main non-traditional products were: fresh blueberries (39% participation), fresh grapes (10%), fresh asparagus (6.0%), ginger without crushing or pulverizing (2.1%), onion and shallots (1.9%), artichokes ( 1.6%), other cocoa beans (1.5%), prepared asparagus (1.5%), bananas including fresh "cavendish valery" type bananas (1.5%) and palm oil (1.4%).
