Sale of brazilian coffee to Arab countries grew by 8.1%

According to data released by the Council of Coffee Exporters in Brazil (Cecafé), Brazil exported 1.61 million bags of coffee to the Arab countries between January and October. This export quantity was 8.1% more than the quantity exported in the same period of 2019. The increase in revenue was only 4% reaching US$ 166.4 million. Exports to the Arab countries accounted for 4.6% of all coffee exported by Brazil, far from the main buyers, such as Europe (responsible for more than 51.8%) and North America (22.9%). Overall, coffee exports from Brazil increased by 1.9% in volume from January to October. A total of 35 million bags were exported and US$ 4.4 billion revenue was generated. Converted to reais, sales totalled BRL 22.77 billion, an increase of 35.2%.
