The shipping rates provided by shipping lines servicing Costa Rica for the banana, pineapple, and melon industries have remained relatively stable in the 2024 annual fixed programs. Despite this, producers and exporters are actively exploring options to reduce shipping costs to various destinations such as the United States (US), Europe, and the Middle East. They are currently awaiting final offers from shipping lines as part of their efforts to optimize transportation expenses.
