Calamansi orange from Bengkulu province in the southern part of Sumatra has now entered the overseas markets such as Myanmar and the Philippines. Calamansi oranges have been massively produced in this province since 2017 and the export has now been made possible following the opening of the sales channels to the aforementioned countries. At the moment, the demand for this fruit has now reached 10 MT/month, and they are mostly transported via air freight to maintain freshness. Moving forward, some sellers project that the momentum of the coronavirus pandemic will lead to an even bigger demand. As consumers show a growing interest in Vitamin-C intake, as a means to boost one's immunity against Covid-19, Calamansi oranges are highly sought out among global consumers.
