The strike of the transporters in Spain causes a surge in prices and shortage in vegetables in the French markets

The end of the obligation to wear a mask on the markets is relatively favorable to the frequentation of the sales places. Still, the high level of prices and the anxious geopolitical context inhibits the consumers' purchases and disrupt the beginning of the campaign of the French production. Prices are very strong for the whole range of Spanish vegetables. Indeed, the carriers’ strike in Spain caused supply disruptions, especially for tomatoes and peppers. Prices for Spanish sweet peppers have soared at the end of WK 11, by EUR 0.20 per kg in all colors.
