Ukrainian Sunflower Oil Prices Rising Due to Russia’s Withdrawal From the Export Agreement

Ukrainian refined sunflower oil prices are rising due to the uncertainty created by Russia's breakaway from the export agreement with Ukraine, followed by increased unrest and drone attacks. The sunflower oil FCA price in W44 stands at USD 1081.58–1199.57/MT for large buyers of a 3,000 MT/month contract. Smaller contracts have the worst impact on payment terms, as producers seek to liquidate their products and get paid quickly. FCA prices for 1–5 trucks on the spot market in Ukraine stand at USD 1327.39–1474.88/MT, depending on where in Ukraine they are purchased. Currently, purchasing Ukrainian sunflower oil has a high risk due to logistics issues and the high fees charged by transport companies to pick up products in Ukraine. W43's sunflower oil price increased by 13%, given the situation in Ukraine last week, which significantly increased the volatility of the sunflower oil market price.
