Egypt exports record volume of oranges to Southeast Asia this season

The export of oranges from Egypt to the countries of Southeast Asia continues to set new records, according to EastFruit. Given such dynamics, the final indicator of the 2022/23 season (October-September) will most likely also be a record. Egypt remains the largest supplier of oranges to the countries of Southeast Asia and has already exported 55.6 thousand tons of oranges to Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Cambodia and some other states of the region from October 2022 to May 2023. The previous record for the supply of Egyptian oranges in this direction for the specified period was already in the 2018/19 season (53.5 thousand tons). Thus, given that the peak of exports from Egypt to Southeast Asia falls on January-May, the final result of the 2023/24 season will be at least close to a record one!
