The decision was formalized through General Resolution 4969/2021, published this Wednesday in the Official Gazette. In accordance with the official provisions, values ranging from US $ 0.50 to US $ 1.84 per kilogram were established, according to each of the classifications. These reference prices apply when these products are destined for China, South Korea, the Philippines, Hong Kong, Japan, Taiwan, Thailand, the United States, Canada, Brazil, Chile, Paraguay, Uruguay and Venezuela. Customs is in charge of establishing precautionary export reference values for any of the goods included in the Mercosur Common Nomenclature, which constitute a first control of the declarations in safeguarding the fiscal interest. This control is aimed at perfecting the selectivity system in terms of value, in order to detect deviations from the usual values for identical or similar goods.
