In the Philippines, Palawan is considered the cashew capital of the country supplying 90% of the nut. Usually, the exporters will take the stock from Palawan for sale in the local and international markets. However, due to the severe COVID-19 outbreak in the Philippines, the stock cashew nut in Palawan could not be exported because of the local logistic problem due to COVID lockdown in the country.
