Leaders of the Federation of Workers of the Oleaginous Industrial Complex (FTCIODyARA) and the Union of Oil Workers of the San Lorenzo Department (SOEA) announced on Monday, December 21, that they will extend the national strike – which has already lasted for thirteen consecutive days – until Tuesday afternoon.

The conflict is significantly delaying scheduled shipments of agroindustrial products and is generating a gigantic "bottleneck" of ships both in the Paraná River and in the access to the Río de la Plata. The average cost of delay for a ship is around USD 25K/day.
