The National Mango Production in Peru Reached 474K Tons in 2022 (Feb 28)
The Director of Economic Studies of the Ministry of Agrarian Development and Irrigation (Midagri) reported mango production in Peru reached 474K tons, with an installed area of 30.8K hectares in 2022. The largest mango area was Piura with 19.8K hectares (64.6% of the total), Lambayeque with 4,311 hectares (14%), Áncash with 1,843 hectares (6%), and Cajamarca with 1,160 hectares (4% ). Peru exported 304K tons with a value of USD 427.3M, representing 64.4% of the national production in 2022.

In 2022, Peru exported 256.4k tons of mangoes. The main destination was the Netherlands with 98.2K tons, followed by the United States with 81K tons, the United Kingdom with 13.9K tons, and Spain with 10.1K tons. The total exportable value exceeded USD 294M. The Ancash region exported 30.8K tons of mangos with a value of USD 49.9M.

Taiwanese Mangoes Are Possible to Grow Big Due to South Breeze in March 2023 (Mar 1)
Regarding the fruit situation on mangoes in Taiwan, the fruit of mango trees is subject to being dropped by the south breeze or the monsoon. It predicts that the weight of mangoes will grow to 330g/piece. Mangoes will be gathered in large sizes in Pingtung if it rains in March 2023.
